โšฝ๏ธ๐ŸŒŸ NEW SCHOOLS INITIATIVE ๐ŸŒŸโšฝ๏ธ

We as a Club are delighted to announce the new Soccer in Schools Initiative that for the last few months our Director of Football has been working on behind the scenes.

Daniel reached out to a number of local Primary Schools to bring the Soccer in Schools Initiative to life.

Here he discusses the reasons behind this initiative and what we hope to gain from these partnerships going forward!

Our Director of Football Daniel English had this to say on the new partnership he has curated with a local National School - Scoil Mhuire Junior

Daniel says "I am absolutely delighted to get this project off the ground and up and running. It is something I have wanted to do for quite a while and now I finally have the time to do it.
The primary reason for this initiative is simple really, to get more children from the local community involved in soccer in school.
We found that a lot of the children that are coming and joining our club at aged 9/10 have never played football before. This astonished us and as a Club we want to make it an easy transition for any boy or girl when they do start, as it is quite daunting to start a sport for the first time!
By doing weekly sessions in the school, we can build the foundations for kids & help them as much as we possibly can before they transition into a football club.

We are so looking forward to getting stuck in and a big thanks goes to Carol Nolan from Scoil Mhuire Junior school for giving us the opportunity to give back to the community and to work with the school.

We hope this is a partnership that lasts for years to come."

A message from our 1st Schools Partner

We at Scoil Mhuire Junior School, Blakestown are delighted to welcome Daniel English, Director of Football at Corduff FC to give coaching sessions to our 1st class children.

Daniel has great skills for working with the children and the content is excellent.

The sessions allow the children an opportunity to experience soccer and they will hopefully join a club in the near future.

As a school we are working towards our 1st Active Flag and continuously encourage the children to be more active in their daily lives - what better way than playing soccer!!
We look forward to a strong working relationship with Corduff FC.
